I studied English in college thinking that I would eventually be able to support myself as my parents recommended. When I came to United States I realized my major was a mistake as everyone including toddlers speak better English than I did. I didn't paint until I became very depressed in my late 30's and that my husband recommended me to take art courses. I haven't stopped ever since.
Of course I raised kids (4 of them) and couldn't fully participate only to painting everyday, however, I managed to take as many classes as I could and have been mentored by Peggy Baumgaertner on portraiture in the past ten years. Yes, I grieved for studying English all the while I could have taken fine art! But I'm thankful that I am able to paint and teach in my studio. I would like to further improve my painting and have more satistied clients along the way. God has been awfully good to me...
